You do not need to see one of us for individual therapy, we are always willing to work with the treatment team you already have in place, and are diligent about consistent communication with your other care providers.
Patients are required to attend an individual assessment prior to joining groups, and all classes have rolling admission.
Our DBT skills classes are focused on enhancing clients’ capabilities by teaching them behavioral skills. The class is run according to Marsha Linehan’s syllabus, following the DBT skills training manual and using Linehan’s DBT Skills Workbook. The group leader and co leader teach the skills and assign homework for clients to practice using the skills in their everyday lives. Our classes cover the four modules of DBT: mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. After completing and graduating from skills class, we offer graduate level DBT groups for those interested. 24/7 skills coaching is reserved for clients in our full comprehensive program, and is not available to skills group only clients.
Adult skills classes are currently offered on Monday and Tuesday at 7 pm and Thursday at 1045 am, adolescent skills classes are offered Wednesday at 7 pm and Thursday s at 6 pm, and Graduate Group is offered on Wednesday at 7 pm. Our Loved Ones Program starts new approximately every 6 weeks or so, and has a minimum of 4 families participating. The program is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 pm. (Family members will be assigned to the night that corresponds with their Loved One starting DBT group, you are not able to select which night you will attend.)
