Associate Staff Therapist
Sky is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who uses warmth, compassion, and understanding to build trusting relationships with her clients. Sky works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families struggling with shame, self-esteem, and body image – along with personality disorders, substance abuse disorders, and difficulties with sex, love, and relationships.
Sky has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from the College of Charleston in South Carolina, and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles. Sky began her pre-licensure training at The Center for Professional Counseling under the supervision of Susan Levin, LMFT where she strengthened her competence in Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Existential, Gestalt, and CBT modalities. Sky received her foundational DBT training from Shari Manning, Ph.D., former President/CEO of Behavioral Tech, and extensive DBT Skills training from Kate Comtois, PhD, MPH, director of The Center for Suicide Prevention and Recovery (CSPAR). Sky also has training in sex therapy from The Buehler Institute, which prepares clinicians for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) certification. Sky is an active member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
Sky is currently a member of Dr. Wallach’s comprehensive DBT Team, co-leading skills groups as a primary DBT therapist, as well as seeing patients in her private practice under Dr. Wallach’s supervision.
